  • Imagine having drank this much cool aid to take the bandaid over the surgery. Drinking water availability isn’t the problem because of environmental factors.... it’s so abundant it rains from the sky.... there are about a million things I can think of that could be fixed that are plugging up that process.

  • Once she said “women and children are the ones affected by the water crisis” I lost the ability to listen. Trying to bring feminism into everything possible. As if men don’t burn more calories and require higher amounts of hydration on the same polluted water. Reason for mortality are probably linked to 100+ things unrelated. I can’t stand people that make up bs “facts” to trigger emotional responses, hoping people care.

  • The biggest killer of people is not unclean water, it is greed. Most of these countries have a very corrupt government that waste away their money instead of taking care of their people. Greed, corruption, bad government is what is killing all these people; bad water is just a symptom of that.

Who's affected by the water crisis? Women and children she says...apparently men don't need water. Dirty water sickens so many people, they take up half of all the world's hospital beds. Sorry, not buyin it.

  • Millions of children die every year from waterborne diseases. The science to resolve this has been know for the last 100 years. We don’t put the resources into solving this crisis because the problem is in developing countries and it doesn’t affect us. Now COVID comes to your town and the world puts a worldwide effort into saving lives with an unprecedented effort. Hard to understand that reasoning.

  • I love how people raise money so they can have adventures for their own personal enjoyment and then say it's for a cause like clean water. If you want to help them, grab a shovel and a jackhammer and start digging, bring them water and buy and build them a water processing plant. Or maybe teach them to boil water. Or let nature take it's place and let them die off. If they can't figure out how to drink water so they don't die, I don't know, maybe they're not meant to be here. Lol. I'm a prick. I know

She sites outdate statistics and cherry picks examples. ( no names for babies ). Get Hans Rosling or Bill Gates on the show if you want to talk about the health ( water, medication, sanitation, etc ) of the world. So much fear mongering and out right stupid statements about the state of water! How can nearly everyone in the world have cell phones, yet no water?

  • Somebody answer this for me. What it "clean" water? Water is water. I think a lot of our problems come from the fact everything is so civilized. If we shut up and drunk the water that's available in a couple decades we will be immune to the toxins in the water. Like if humans really needed everything to be "clean n tighty" we wouldn't have made it this far in the first place

  • How does she think we have the cure? Some areas are extreme drought areas, it's mostly a function of geography & consumption. Sometimes there's things we can do, but many times there's not. Does she just mean getting bottled water to these 3rd world countries? That's a patch, not a cure. The "cure" in this case would be moving those people out of those areas - and that's certainly not feasible. It may seem like I'm being pedantic, but I'm not because as it's a patch, it's something that will continuously need to be done for the foreseeable future, and when it stops, they'll regress.

It eats thru glass and concrete, attacks your bones and nervous system. Shit the bags have a skull and bones poison warning on them. It's more expensive to dispose of than dump into the water supply and drs and dentists make a killing.

  • The reason why allow third world countries to suffer with poor drinking water conditions in 2021 is because it keeps those countries poor. Because when their standard of living increases so does the cost of their labor and resources that come from those regions. What people don't understand is that while the first world Nations no longer subscribe to militaristic imperialism they still inflict economic imperialism on poorer Nations. First world countries like the US, tend to favor only certain countries with major natural resources bike Saudi Arabia. It is really ever a humanitarian effort that saves Nations unless there is a clear economic advantage and incentive for us to do so. As long as their governments are willing to work with us and support our economic objectives then we will ensure that they are kept safe and healthy. Otherwise we don't give a fuck. This is why countries like Haiti and protected territories like Puerto Rico aren't given much regard even in our own hemisphere.

  • That's a load of BS! Desalination technology makes it possible to obtain drinkable water from the ocean or briny wells. The issue is now mostly one of cost and/or energy for either processing or transporting it to consumers, and for consumers to live in a prosperous enough economy to be able to aford it.

  • 1/6 of our planet are literally too low-IQ (60-75IQ range per national average) to dig a canal system or a well. Joe gives money to dig wells in these places and as soon as the charities leave the locals tear the wells apart to use the materials in their homes or to sell. It boils MY blood how WRONG it is to interfere with these populations who are not yet finished evolving. They're not "real people today" they are stone-age holdovers. You CAN NOT help them. It's impossible. Stop wasting time and resources that our own children and veterans sorely need!
